A pair of Vikings who reported dutifully for camp Thursday and showed up for walkthroughs on Friday have already been cut. The team announced that UDFA T Matt Hall and former Browns WR Josh Cooper have been waived.
The cleared roster spots, and cleaned out dorm spaces, will be occupied by newly-signed wide receivers Andy Cruse and Ty Walker.
Walker is a former Packer UDFA signing who appeared in all four preseason games with Green Bay last year. Cruse is a one-time Texans practice squad member who was cut by Houston in May.
The Vikings now have 87 active players at camp with three men going on PUP. There will be plenty more roster shuffling, cutting, signing, waiving and depth chart re-ordering as camp rolls on.
Day two was already pretty eventful. Mike Zimmer truly does not mess around.
