You know when you have a bunch of cords and they somehow get tangled up and you spend like an hour untangling them and by the end of it you want to electrocute yourself? That’s how the Vikings safety situation feels.

Mike Zimmer is clearly still in untangling mode when it comes to the other starting spot alongside Harrison Smith. Hoping to get that situation sorted, the coach has said that he will primarily look at four men this Saturday against Arizona: Andrew Sendejo, Kurt Coleman, Jamarca Sanford and Chris Crocker. Notice any names missing from that list?

Mistral Raymond’s exclusion from Zimmer’s foursome doesn’t mean he is on the bubble, but it can’t be a good sign for the young man either. With Antone Exum, a very promising rookie, also in the mix, the numbers just aren’t adding up for Raymond.

Right now, I’ve got Raymond as a cut.
