The Vikings, and all the other NFL teams, are waiting to find out about their waiver claims while also waiting to find out which of their own players cleared waivers and can be added to their practice squads.
News is only just beginning to trickle out about the Vikings’ waiver claims, and the first name we’ve heard is not an entirely unexpected one.

Folks were thinking Norv Turner’s experience with Gray – he played for Norv in Cleveland last year – might prompt the Vikes to put in a claim on the former Gophers QB who now plays tight end and fullback.
The Vikings certainly could use more tight end talent on the roster after cutting loose both Chase Ford and Allen Reisner.
The dots connected pretty neatly on Gray and it appears the Vikings did indeed put in a claim on him. Now we’ll see if they can add Gray to the roster.
