The Greg Jennings Foundation recently held a one week fantasy football game to raise money for charity.  For a one week game, the foundation should consider the fundraising a success.

Many folks see fantasy football as a waste of time, but many sports fans have a lot of fun playing the game.  It is one of the biggest forms of sports gambling in the world.  According to Industry Demographics, nearly 41 million people played fantasy sports in 2014, and while many of those are just methods of gambling, very few are for charitable causes or good deeds.

The game ended on Monday night after Monday Night Football.  Following the game, an email of thanks was sent out to every participant in the game.  Here was the email sent out by The Greg Jennings Foundation to those who played in the fantasy football game:

$2,272 may not seem like a lot, but the Greg Jennings Foundation found a creative and fun way to get people involved in the fundraising that normally may not have known about or participated in charity in the past.

The Greg Jennings Foundation does excellent work providing charitable donations for organizations in the the greater Kalamazoo area of Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Greg Jennings is a native of the Kalamazoo, Michigan area, being born and raised there.  It wasn’t until he became a member of the Minnesota Vikings that the foundation began including Minneapolis.

Greg Jennings is a class act and a valuable member of the Minnesota Vikings team.  We at The Viking Age thank Jennings for his organization’s charity and professionalism with the team.  Greg Jennings truly knows how to BE GREAT!
