Adrian Peterson may have lost a lot of fans with what has happened over the past year, but within NFL ranks he is still highly admired.

Sporting News did a poll of NFL players to find out which of their peers they enjoy watching the most. And Adrian Peterson finished fourth.

Guys who voted for Peterson were asked to explain why he’s their favorite (via Sporting News):

"“He runs the ball the way it’s supposed to be run.” – Darren McFadden, Cowboys“He is a beast. You see it with his work ethic on the field. He is a monster on the field and makes a lot of plays.” – DJ Swearinger, Buccaneers“He runs with so much veracity. He can take it to the house on any play.” – Barry Church, Cowboys“It’s great to finally be on the same team as him.” – Mike Wallace, Vikings"

Truly, he runs with veracity.

A lot of Cowboys players like Adrian Peterson. Interesting.

Just kidding, we know he’s not being traded.

The full list is sort of fascinating. Running backs may be “devalued” but other NFL players clearly appreciate what those guys do. A lot of elder statesmen on this list as well. The old vets get the respect.

But not Tom Brady.
