The Dallas Cowboys hosted the Minnesota Vikings tonight during week 3 of the NFL’s preseason.  Fans of football all like to refer to this week as the “dress rehearsal” of the preseason, where the starters are likely to see extended time on the field in order to prepare them for the regular season.

Because of that, there will be plenty of star power on hand.  For the Dallas Cowboys, stars Tony Romo and Darren McFadden are expected to be in action for a significant portion of the game, but star wide receiver Dez Bryant was a last-minute scratch.  Their strong offensive line should prove to be a great test for the Minnesota Vikings defense.  The Cowboys are a tough team that are expected to be playoff contenders this year, so this game should be a great measuring stick for the Minnesota Vikings.

Meanwhile, the Vikings will still be resting (and protecting) star running back Adrian Peterson, as he will not be seeing action in this game.  In addition, center John Sullivan, tight end MyCole Pruitt, offensive lineman Carter Bykowski, and defensive lineman Shamar Stephen.  Despite that, we will still see Teddy Bridgewater, Mike Wallace, Harrison Smith, Everson Griffen, and the rest of the Vikings active players find time in the game.

During the Minnesota Vikings vs Dallas Cowboys game, there were some good things, some bad things, and some confusing things.  Let’s start off by talking about the good things!
