Adrian Peterson praised by Roger Goodell for NFL return

Recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell praised the return to football by Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson following a domestic incident.

The Minnesota Vikings were without star player and former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson for much of the 2014 due to a legal matter involving his four year old son. Peterson only played one game during last season, gaining just 75 yards rushing and 18 yards receiving.

Adrian Peterson has bounced back well in the 2015 season, currently leading the league in rushing yards (1006). And although that is impressive, perhaps one of the biggest opportunities for the running back came when it was time to prove that he could learn from the incident with his son and prove that he can be a better man.

Recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about Peterson’s return on Sunday during the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. Here are his comments as written in an article on the ESPN website:

Peterson has come a long way since 2014, when a large portion of the Minnesota Vikings fan base were calling for the star running back to be cut or traded. Those rumblings have quieted and Adrian Peterson has been able to avoid negative media attention.
