Minnesota Vikings kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson was named to the All-Pro second team for 2015, backing up Seattle’s specialist Tyler Lockett.

Yesterday, it was announced that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was a unanimous selection of the 2015 All-Pro first team. At that time, it looked as though he’d be the only member of the roster from the team based in the land of 10,000 lakes. However, he’ll have a fellow Viking joining him in the honor.

Kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson joined the All-Pro second team by the Associated Press. Patterson had an impressive season as a return man, finding the end zone on a couple of occasions as rarely putting the team in a bad situation with a return that leaves the team with bad field position and doesn’t fumble the ball very often.

Here are Patterson’s statistics for the 2015 regular season:

  • 32 kick returns
  • 1019 kick return yards
  • 31.8 yards per return
  • 2 kick return touchdowns

Congratulations to Cordarrelle Patterson on being named to the All-Pro second team. His contributions to the Minnesota Vikings as a return man can always help give the team a spark and help them elevate to the best of occasions, as he is a threat to take a kickoff return to the house any time he gets his hands on the football.

You can see Patterson and the rest of the Vikings on Sunday, January 10, 2016 when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.
