Brett Favre biography set for November release date

A biography chronicling the life of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre is set for release in November and will feature interviews of those close to him.
Very few players in recent NFL history have given fans as much excitement and intrigue as Brett Favre. From his start with the Atlanta Falcons all the way through his final game with the Minnesota Vikings, he was a media sensation who excited and delighted football’s faithful for many years.
This November, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will adapt Jeff Pearlman’s “Gunslinger: The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre” into a video biography according to the CBS affiliate WCCO in Minneapolis website. While Favre himself will not be part of the biography himself, there will be hundreds of interviews from Favre which Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will draw from and they will also use conversations with people close to the gunslinger.
Favre’s interesting career had some great ups and downs. The 3-time NFL Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl XXI champion was one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the NFL. He took risks and was a player that defenses never felt comfortable against. As the NFL’s iron man, injuries didn’t keep him down, but he also had allegations of drug abuse as well as the story of him sending inappropriate pictures to women, his retirement drama, and many other situations which should make for excellent storytelling.
With Brett Favre being named a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2016, “Gunslinger: The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre” should be a great piece to help put a bow on an amazing career which found him breaking multiple records and never giving the media a dull moment.
