Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater responded to 6 year-old Skolbediah’s birthday party invitation in the one of the best ways imaginable.

As if Minnesota Vikings fans weren’t falling in love with Teddy Bridgewater as the team’s quarterback enough, now he’s warming everyone’s hearts even more.

Earlier this week, The Viking Age told fans about a 6 year-old boy who performed a catchy song called “Hey Teddy” to ask the quarterback to his upcoming birthday party. The kid goes by the nickname Skolbediah because of his love for the Minnesota Vikings, but young Obadiah Gamble knew exactly what he wanted on his special day.

Thankfully, Obadiah’s invite reached the ears of Teddy Bridgewater, who not only retweeted the catchy song, but sent some autographed merchandise over to the Gamble family’s home for Skolbediah.

But Bridgewater wasn’t done there. He actually went to visit Obadiah and shared in some games of catch as well as paper football and more! The quarterback presented the birthday boy with his cake and even personalized some Minnesota Vikings items for the young man.

However, the coolest part of the whole story is that Bridgewater himself actually took the time to participate in a second “Hey Teddy” video, but this time celebrating the meeting between Obadiah Gamble and Teddy.

Here is that video from Vanessa Gamble’s YouTube account:

This is a fantastic story of a humble NFL player who is willing to take time out of his busy schedule to meet with a fan and brighten the day of an entire family. There is no doubt that Bridgewater has a fan for life now in Obadiah Gamble, who can always be seen sporting some kind of Minnesota Vikings apparel in his other videos as well.

The Viking Age would like to thank Teddy Bridgewater for making Obadiah Gamble’s birthday so special and doing something that many other players wouldn’t be able to find the time for or would not have made a priority. This is a beautiful story of how players can do great and unexpected things, and it just goes to show what kind of man Bridgewater is.
