Two Minnesota Vikings players were included in a one-man, ten team, ten round fantasy football mock draft by NFL.com’s fantasy expert Michael Fabiano.

With the 2016 NFL season rapidly approaching, that also means that fans of fantasy football will be gearing up for a new season of the game. For many, fantasy football is a great way to bring fans together and win bragging rights by showing off their knowledge of the game.

Because of that, there are many experts out there who are the authority on fantasy football. One of those individuals is NFL.com’s Michael Fabiano. Recently Fabiano did a one-man mock draft where he chose the players for 10 different teams over the course of 10 rounds. This means 100 players were selected in this draft.

The Minnesota Vikings haven’t been a team that demanded a lot of attention in recent fantasy football drafts. Outside of Adrian Peterson, there have been flashes of brilliance by players like tight end Kyle Rudolph and wide receiver Stefon Diggs, but so far potential hasn’t resulted in points for fantasy owners.

This was reflected in Fabiano’s one-man mock draft, as only two Minnesota Vikings players were selected. Here are the two players who were selected and the spots they were taken:

6. Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings

"“Peterson turned 31 in March, and he’s had over 2,300 career regular-season carries at the NFL level. With that said, the typical rules of an older back don’t apply to one of the all-time greats. It’s difficult to envision a scenario where A.P. isn’t a top-10 choice.”"

95. Laquon Treadwell, WR, Vikings

The surprising addition here was Treadwell, as Diggs could have easily been included or Kyle Rudolph may have appeared out of potential alone. However, Fabiano must believe that there is something to Treadwell joining the team and sees him as being a draftable player in this year’s game.

No matter which Minnesota Vikings players you choose in your fantasy football game, there are hopes they will perform well. If the team can prove they can pass the ball better than last year, maybe the receivers and tight ends will be mocked a little higher in next year’s list. But, for now, having two players included seems like a fair amount for the squad.
