Training camp is rapidly approaching for the Minnesota Vikings. The massive roster full of players will eventually be cut down to a 52-man football team which will compete for the honor of playing in the Super Bowl.

After that, those remaining players will compete for starting jobs and backup spots with playing time on the line. Sometimes, the players expected to win the job get the nod, while other times players come out of nowhere to surprise fans.
