Who’s rising and who’s falling? Check out this week’s edition of NFL Power Rankings where the Vikings are moving down after their loss to Philadelphia.

NFL Week 8 is about to begin! After a disappointing loss to Philadelphia, the Vikings look to turn things around against a struggling Chicago Bear’s team.

Running back Jerick McKinnon has been ruled out, as has Safety Andrew Sendejo, so the Vikings will be missing even more pieces than they normally are. Cordarrelle Patterson is in concussion protocol, and he is questionable. Is it possible we see some Laquon Treadwell this week? I think it is.

Anyway, let’s get to the rankings:

1. New England Patriots (6-1) – Tom Brady is 39 years old and playing at an MVP level, that’s scary.

Last Week: 2

2. Minnesota Vikings (5-1) – One loss won’t move them down too far. Mistakes were abundant, but I expect better play against the Bears. The O-line must improve.

Last Week 1

3. Dallas Cowboys (5-1) – A matchup with Philly will decide the NFC East leader. This should be interesting.

Last Week: 3

4. Seattle Seahawks (4-1-1) – The defense is playing great, but I wonder what impact Russell Wilson’s knee and ankle injuries are having on him.

Last Week: 4

5. Denver Broncos (5-2) – The Broncos will be okay as long as Siemian is decent.

Last Week: 8

6. Atlanta Falcons (4-3) – Despite their past few losses they are a very good team.

Last Week: 5

7. Green Bay Packers (4-2) – They don’t feel the same, but they’re winning. This should be a fun one in Atlanta.

Last Week: 7

8. Arizona Cardinals (3-3-1) – This is a little high, but I think this team is starting to come together.

Last Week: 11

9. Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) – Spencer Ware is taking over Jamaal Charles’ job, and it’s happening now.

Last Week: 10

10. Oakland Raiders (5-2) – The Raiders are making the playoffs this year. The drought is over.

Last Week: 13

11. Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) – Their defense is very good. If Wentz continues to develop this season, look out.

Last Week: 14

12. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) – They will get Roethlisberger back and be okay.

Last Week: 6

13. Buffalo Bills (4-3) – The injury to McCoy could become a big issue for the Bills.

Last Week: 9

14. San Diego Chargers (3-4) – They are a very good team. If they had a few more games go their way at the beginning of the season this would be a top-10 team.

Last Week: 18

15. Detroit Lions (4-3) – Matthew Stafford has been playing really well and the team has been coming away with narrow victories.

Last Week: 15

16. Washington Redskins (4-3) – They are a tough team to figure out. One week they look awesome, and the next they look average at best.

Last Week: 12

17. New York Giants (4-3) – The Giants enter their bye week after a sloppy win in London.

Last Week: 17

18. Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) – The Bengals are going to make a playoff run this year, they are too talented not to.

Last Week: 22

19. Indianapolis Colts (3-4) – The Colts are the best in the South.

Last Week: 24

20. Houston Texans (4-3) – The Texans beat up on the lower tier teams, but then get destroyed by the big boys.

Last Week: 16

21. Tennessee Titans (4-4) – The Titans are getting better. Mariota is a developing star.

Last Week: 20

22. Miami Dolphins (3-4) – Where has Jay Ajayi come from?!

Last Week: 27

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) – They are not playoff material, but they are getting close.

Last Week: 25

24. New Orleans Saints (2-4) – The Saints have been in a lot of games this year, but are having trouble getting the W.

Last Week: 23

25. Los Angeles Rams (3-4) – They are plummeting.

26. New York Jets (2-5) – Ryan Fitzpatrick is back, let’s see if they could make a run.

Last Week: 19

27. Baltimore Ravens (3-4) – What has happened to them?

Last Week: 21

28. Carolina Panthers (1-5) – This game will be their season.

Last Week: 28

29. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) – The season’s not going the way they, or anyone expected.

Last Week: 26

30. Chicago Bears (1-6) – Go Cubs Go! There’s a different bear team Chicago’s worrying about.

Last Week: 30

31. San Francisco 49ers (1-6) – The 49ers have been in a downward spiral since Jim Harbough left

Last Week: 31

32. Cleveland Browns (0-7) – They will get a win at some point! It’s going to happen!

Last Week: 32

Next: Vikings-Bears Predictions

Week 8 will feature some big matchups, as the Packers and Falcons match up, as do the Eagles and Cowboys. The Vikings play the Bears on a Halloween versions of Monday Night Football. Hopefully the monsters on the Vikings defense will show up at Soldier Field.
