Adrian Peterson on Teddy Bridgewater missing 2017: ‘I doubt it’

The Minnesota Vikings’ running back offered his opinion on the status of the team’s quarterback for next season when recently leaving a Super Bowl party.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson may have just shed some light for those who have remained optimistic about the chances of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater returning to the field in 2017.

As Peterson and his wife were on their way out of a Super Bowl party in Houston on Friday, the running back was asked a few questions by a nearby TMZ Sports reporter. Peterson was asked if Bridgewater was still keeping his head up despite reports coming out that the quarterback will miss the entire 2017 season due to his knee injury and the running back quickly responded with, “I don’t think it’s a full next season.”

When the reporter reminded Peterson that the reports did indeed suggest that Bridgewater would miss another year of football, the running back quickly shook his head and uttered three magical words.

"“I doubt it.”"

While most of the information on the status of the the quarterback’s chances to play next year has come from unidentified league sources, it is refreshing to hear an opinion come from someone who is actually on the team’s roster.

The running back has never been shy too say what is on his mind and the end result is not always the greatest. But in regards to what he said on Friday night, Minnesota’s fans likely appreciate the opinion Peterson decided to offer.
