Minnesota Vikings defensive end and pass rush specialist Danielle Hunter was once again named to the All-Under-25 Team by NFL.com’s Elliot Harrison.

One of the best draft stories for the Minnesota Vikings in recent history has been watching former 2015 3rd round draft pick Danielle Hunter develop as a pass rushing defensive end in Mike Zimmer‘s defense.

When Hunter was drafted at only 20 years old, he was seen as a physically gifted player who would need time to hone his craft. However. the youngster exploded onto the scene and has become one of the most dangerous sack artists in the league.

His ability earned him a spot on Elliot Harrison’s All-Under-25 Team on NFL.com along with many of the other young players taking the league by storm. Here is what he had to say about Hunter in his analysis:

More from The Viking Age

"“Hunter recorded 12.5 sacks and, according to Sam Monson at Pro Football Focus, 55 total hurries last season. The amazing deal with Hunter is that he was a rookie at 20 years old, so despite having already played two years in the league, he will turn all of 23 in October.”"

Last season, Hunter made this team as well. In theory, he could be on this list two more times for a total of 4 honors.

The Vikings pass rusher continues to prove his worth and earn more playing time as the seasons pass. Eventually, he will likely overtake Brian Robison for the starting job opposite Everson Griffen, and that could happen as soon as the 2017 season.

Congratulations to Danielle Hunter on earning a place on Elliot Harrison’s All-Under-25 Team as well as the Minnesota Vikings for bringing out the potential in the young man. He should continue to strike fear into opposing offenses for many, many years to come.
