Chad Johnson has been released by the Miami Dolphins, after being arrested for a domestic dispute.  Still in need of deep threat, go-to wide receivers, should our beloved Minnesota Vikings go after the artist formerly known as “Ochocinco”?  Most people would say, no.  He’s too much of a wild-card, with his antics, and his off-field celebrity lifestyle.  But let me remind you, in all reality this is Chad Whatever-You-Want-To-Call-Him’s first off-field incident in his 12 years as a professional football player in the NFL.  That has to stand for something. Former Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Brett Favre finally joined Twitter!  Yep, the real genuine, gun-slinger!  Good ole number four, himself!  The future Hall-of-Famer!  The man from Mississippi!  Mr. 500 plus touchdowns!  You get the point…it’s really him.  Or at least it WAS really him for a short period of time.  Thanks to an email sent out by the official Brett Favre website, we now know it’s no longer really Brett on the Twitter account “@Brettfavre4”. As we all continue to debate which free agent wide receiver we want to see in a Minnesota Vikings jersey in 2012, the names most frequently mentioned are Vincent Jackson and Dwayne Bowe.  While both are wonderful targets, let me throw a name at you that is almost being forgotten:  Reggie Wayne.  Thanks to the Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay, apparently wanting to move in a different direction, and showing more interest in re-signing Colts wide-out Pierre Garcon, it seems Reggie Wayne will most likely be a free agent who is up for grabs.  Sure when you think about the incredible size and talents of V-Jax, maybe Wayne isn’t the “sexier” option to shoot for…but maybe he’s a little more realistic of an option.  As I mentioned (more…)
