The Vikings fall to 0-4 after losing 17-22 to the Kansas City Chiefs. Vikings gave up a TD pass to Dwayne Bowe in the 14th minute of the 4th quarter to put the Chiefs up 22-10 and that is all they needed. The Vikings threw in a late touchdown of their own to close the gap on a TD pass from McNabb to Jenkins to make it 17-22. The Vikings had the ball with 4:07 left and a chance to win the game. Their hopes were dashed on 4 straight incompletions from Donovan McNabb.

With the Vikes moving to 0-4 and McNabb playing at what looks to be an all-time low the question moves to Ponder. Fans across Viking Nation are wondering when we were see the cocksure rookie from Florida State. Next week could present a good opportunity for the young rookie as the Arizona Cardinals are coming to Mall of America field.

It the word of that monkey from Lion King… “It is time.”

You got your umbrella? Because it’s raining cold dark facts up in here…

The Kansas City Chiefs are averaging 9 points a game. Now, I’m not Charles Davis, or Rich Eisen, or even Terry Bradshaw but I know that 9 points through 3 games is bad…really, really bad. The Chefs have run a total of 162 plays from scrimmage; dead last in the NFL. The Red, White, and Yellow are averaging 244 yards per tilt and only going for 4.5 yards per play. For the love of everything holy they average 12 first downs a game! The last beautiful stat I would like to give to you is that the Chefs are -6 in the turnover department.

Translation: The Chiefs are not a good offensive football team.

This is a little piece of writing brilliance we like to call 5 Questions. I asked Patrick Allen of Arrowhead Addict 5 questions about the Chiefs and this is what our guy Patrick Allen had to say:

Clint: Are you guys participating in the “Suck for Luck” movement?

Patrick: AA has a very large staff. Some of the guys are on the Suck for Luck bandwagon. Others, like me, just can’t bring themselves to do it. Going 1-1 or 2-14 can cause a lot of other problems for an organization that I am not sure the Chiefs want. Still, I recognize that this team needs a franchise QB. I will always cheer for the Chiefs to win on Sunday but if they somehow ended up with Andrew Luck, I wouldn’t complain either. Things will play out as they will play out.

Clint: Chiefs. 0-3. Obviously the direction of the team and conversation changes now as the playoffs are a remote possibility. What would you like to see the Chiefs do from here on out? Are there personnel moves you would like to see due to the 0-3 start?
