Adrian Peterson suffered a nasty-looking leg injury on the first play of the second half against Washington. DeJon Gomes of the Redskins came in hard on Peterson’s left leg, bending the leg at a severe angle and leaving Peterson on the ground writhing in agony. Peterson was able to stand and walk off with assistance but the injury will surely knock him out of this game and next week’s. Now we wait to see how long Peterson’s recovery time will be. It’s too early to speculate but it certainly looked like a severe knee injury.
