Clint: Are you guys participating in the “Suck for Luck” movement?

Patrick: AA has a very large staff. Some of the guys are on the Suck for Luck bandwagon. Others, like me, just can’t bring themselves to do it. Going 1-1 or 2-14 can cause a lot of other problems for an organization that I am not sure the Chiefs want. Still, I recognize that this team needs a franchise QB. I will always cheer for the Chiefs to win on Sunday but if they somehow ended up with Andrew Luck, I wouldn’t complain either. Things will play out as they will play out.

Clint: Chiefs. 0-3. Obviously the direction of the team and conversation changes now as the playoffs are a remote possibility. What would you like to see the Chiefs do from here on out? Are there personnel moves you would like to see due to the 0-3 start?

I’m going to be straight with you, I like this team. I know the professional pundits are picking the Purple to be last in the division but I don’t see it. This team has talent period. I personally believe this team goes Eminem on the North and starts “kickin’ ass in the mornin’ and takin’ names in the evenin’.”

6-10? No chance. 9-7? Maybe but only if All Day blows out his spleen while waking up in the middle of the night to help Baby Momma warm up a bottle of muscle milk for Duece.

10-6 or better? Most likely.

I have already predicted that this team makes the playoffs. There is not a question in my mind. This team has too many players with too many things to prove.  Look up and down this roster and all you see are shoulders and chips. That’s right Homes, I’ll take the Purple to the playoffs and as Coach Frazier said, “get to the dance and anything can happen.” Word.

But what about the tough North division? Pa-leeze foo.

I’m not a guy that goes and blames refs. Largely they are irrelevant for me. I don’t argue balls and strikes or close plays at first or whine about bad calls. But look man, if the refs get the Shank TD call correct, Vikes win, Pack lose and miss the playoffs. Then this year all the talk is how the Pack are middle of the roaders. But to Frazier’s point, the Pack got to the dance, caught lightening in a bottle and won a championship. Are they a 14-2, 13-3 club? Well first let me ask you if you like apples? Yes? Then…

The Pack get to the playoffs as a Wild Card team. How do you like them apples?

Chicago is good a year, bad a year, good a year, bad a year club. So let’s see they were “good” last year. So that means? Bad this year. Very good class. Did anybody really believe the Bears could pull it off last season?

The Mo-Town Kitties have peeps talkin’ Playoffs. Playoffs? Playoffs? Detroit and Playoffs haven’t been mentioned in the same breath since Bubba Clinton held office. The only way the Kitties reach the playoffs is if Megatron goes all one-man football on us. CJ takes the snap, throws it up to…himself…catches it, runs it in for six. You did it when you were a kid, so don’t act like it can’t happen. Stafford couldn’t stay healthy in a hermetically sealed room. I’ll be straight, the DLine is legit but the group should be pretty winded from being on the field so much this season.

That said, the North is there for the Purple and they hold the biznatch down in 2011.
