I’ve been hearing this crazy stuff going around lately. These fans are saying they WANT the Vikings to lose so next year they can draft Andrew Luck. And these people actually think it’s okay to ROOT FOR THEIR OWN TEAM TO LOSE! No no no no. I don’t care how bad you are and I don’t care what great quarterback is available in the draft next year…it is NOT OKAY to root for your own team to lose. EVER. Obviously these people have been driven crazy by their own frustration and disappointment and are no longer thinking clearly. I can tell you this kind of craziness will never happen to me. I don’t care how much they lose, they will always be my team and I will never give in. I will never let myself be taken in by Suck for Luck thinking. That is just defeatist. And don’t try to sell me that crap about how you’re a real fan because you care about the long-term, and people who are still rooting for victories are not real fans. People who root no matter what the realest fans of all and the Suck for Luck people are just sad depression-cases who have twisted themselves in all sorts of knots. Seriously Suck for Luckers…find a better coping strategy. Drink more. Pick a second team to root for. Get yourself a new puppy. You are absolutely nuts if you think it’s okay to root for losses.
