Which Vikings players are next in line for a contract extension?
By Adam Patrick
Xavier Rhodes, CB:
We reported a few days ago that an extension for Rhodes is likely to be signed very soon and more proof of that came out yesterday in a report from the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson. Basically the deal is just about done, Minnesota just needs Rhodes’ signature to make it final.
There is no doubt he has earned a new contract with the Vikings. Since the team drafted him in 2013, Rhodes has developed into the team’s top cornerback as well as one of the best at his position in the entire NFL.
Having just turned 27-years-old in June, Rhodes still has a long career in the league ahead of him. Luckily for Minnesota, his time in the NFL gets to continue on their roster.
