Which Vikings players are next in line for a contract extension?
By Adam Patrick
Linval Joseph, DT:
After signing with the Vikings during the 2014 offseason, Joseph’s first, lackluster year with the team seems like a distant memory.
During his first season in Minnesota, the defensive lineman only averaged around three tackles per game. But that number went up to 4.6 tackles per game in 2015 and 4.8 tackles per game last season.
Joseph has evolved into one of the most important players on the Vikings’ defense in his three years with the team. He is scheduled to become a free-agent in 2019, but Minnesota locking him up with an extension seems likely to happen before that.
