Which Vikings players are next in line for a contract extension?

For everyone not named Stefon Diggs, the career of this young receiver has been a bit unexpected. Drafted in the fifth round by Minnesota in 2015, Diggs quickly proved himself worthy of being on an NFL field and now he is one of the top young pass catchers in the league.

Despite only entering his third year with the Vikings, he is already the team’s number one receiver. Minnesota knows they are getting a bargain with Diggs right now considering his base salary for this season is only $615,000.

If he can stay healthy and continue to progress as a player in 2017, the Vikings could be tempted to offer the receiver an extension during the 2018 offseason. It may also be smart to make him an offer sooner than later he before becomes to pricey for Minnesota to keep.
