Wide Receivers

Wide Receiver Group 1

  1. Adam Thielen
  2. Laquon Treadwell
  3. Michael Floyd
  4. Isaac Fruechte
  5. Stacy Coley / R.J. Shelton

Wide Receiver Group 2

  1. Stefon Diggs
  2. Jarius Wright
  3. Cayleb Jones
  4. Rodney Adams

Thielen and Diggs should be the team’s starters, but just about everything else is up for grabs, including starting slot job and the depth position. Depending on how many receivers the Minnesota Vikings keep on their roster, several quality players are in danger of being cut.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this list is Jarius Wright being grouped in with Stefon Diggs and some of the other slot receivers. If this means Diggs will see most of his time in the slot, that open things up for Laquon Treadwell to be a starter on the outside in his sophomore season.

Michael Floyd will start the season suspended, leaving one more spot open. Isaac Freuchte has a solid chance of being on the main roster, especially after seeing his placement on this list.

Finally, seeing Rodney Adams on the bottom of the chart is very surprising. He was having a solid training camp and has shown some great athleticism. He should work his way up the list during the preseason.
