Myles Garrett – DE

Aside from the infamous helmet incident last season, Myles Garrett has been pretty successful during his three years with the Cleveland Browns.

Since the Browns selected him with the top pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Garrett has basically been what the team had hoped they were getting in a young pass rusher. In his three seasons with Cleveland, he has finished with at least 10 sacks twice and in 2018 he generated 48 pressures.

Can anyone imagine how frightening the Vikings’ defensive line would be if they were somehow able to acquire Garrett in a trade with the Browns? Having him and Danielle Hunter as their starting defensive ends would give Minnesota’s opponents unavoidable nightmares.

For 2021, Garrett’s current contract has him scheduled to have a cap hit of over $15 million. However, Cleveland would be left with no dead money if they decided to deal the 24-year-old defensive end during he 2021 offseason.

So if Vikings general manager Rick Spielman could figure out a way to clear enough cap space to acquire Garrett, maybe he could convince his old friend Kevin Stefanski to send the Browns’ best defensive player over to the Twin Cities.
