Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team

  • Game Time: Sunday, 12:00 pm CT (FOX)
  • Who Needs to Win: Seahawks

The Seahawks are currently tied with the Los Angeles Rams for the top spot in the NFC West with records of 9-4 and one of those teams will have to move into the wild-card race at some point. Since the best record the Vikings can possibly end their season with at this point is 9-7, that puts Minnesota in a pickle.

Minnesota can’t possibly oust the Seahawks since the Vikings already lost to Seattle in a head-to-head meeting this year and the best Zimmer’s team can do is match Seattle’s record. So, let’s take a look at this game from a different perspective.

Washington has a 6-7 record and is looking really good right now. Their defense is among the best in the league and the team has rattled off four wins in a row. The Football Team will likely end the season as NFC East champions, but there’s always that “what if” in the back of Vikings fans’ heads.

A Washington loss would help to ensure that if they do somehow lose the division to the Giants, they would remain a game behind Minnesota during the following this week. And considering the Vikings have some tough games coming up, any help is nice.
