Sixth Round (Pick No. 1)

Colby Gossett – OG

Stats with Vikings:

  • Signed to the practice squad

Stats with Cardinals:

  • 5 games (4 starts)

Grade:

  • 0/0

Colby Gossett was signed to the Vikings practice squad after a decent preseason in 2018. Before he got to see any action in purple though, he was snagged by the Arizona Cardinals signed to their active roster. He started four games for the Cardinals and is currently the property of the Cleveland Browns. The Vikings didn’t get anything out of this pick so it has to be graded with a zero.

Sixth Round (Pick No. 2)

Ade Aruna – DE

Stats:

  • None

Ade Aruna suffered a major knee injury early in his career with the Vikings. He hung around for a year, but he never saw any meaningful snaps with the team. He has since had stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Cinncinati Bengals, but he’s still never registered a stat with either.

Sixth Round (Pick No. 3)

Davante Downs – LB

Stats with Vikings:

  • 13 games
  • 3 tackles

Stats with Giants:

  • 23 games (8 starts)
  • 1 pass breakup
  • 1 fumble recovery

Grade:

  • 0.25/0

Davante Downs surprisingly made the Vikings roster during his rookie season. He played in spot duty for 11 games, mostly on special teams. He made the team again in 2019, but he was released after only two games.

He was then picked up by the New York Giants and he has remained with them for the last season and a half. While Downs didn’t do much during his time with the Vikings, he did appear in 13 games and he stuck around for a little more than a season, which is normally more than a lot of seventh-round choices do.
