Kareem Jackson

2021 Team: Denver Broncos

This signing might be the most likely, as Kareem Jackson just spent the last three seasons in Denver, where Minnesota’s new defensive coordinator just came from.

Besides the obvious familiarity, bringing in Jackson could also make sense due to him also being a short-term fix to give Cam Bynum or someone else another year to be ready.

While Jackson saw his play fall off in 2021, he was one of the top defensive backs in the entire NFL during the 2020 season.

This would be a low-risk move, as he should not cost terribly much due to having a down year in 2021. Jackson is also getting up there in age, so there is a chance Jackson just does not have it anymore as well.

Bringing in a cheap veteran on a short-term deal seems like the path Minnesota is most likely to take, similar to Xavier Woods last offseason (Woods would have been included in this article as well had he not signed with the Carolina Panthers on Monday).
