Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings have high expectations heading into the season, but the quarterback needs to shift his narrative over his next 17 games. Luckily for him, the schedule is set up to allow that to happen in 2022 as long as he handles the pressure.
Throughout his career, Cousins has been bashed as a guy that cannot win big games – or at least not at a high enough rate – and as someone that struggles in primetime. There are arguments to be had on either side, whether fans discuss his overall record in those games or the lack of help he has had from teammates that has pushed those losses to his name.
Either way, Cousins has to prove a lot of people wrong if he wants to etch his name into the top of the NFL. So many fans are still split on Kirk for a number of reasons but all of that can change in 2022.
Minnesota has a schedule next season that features playoff-caliber opponents, primetime matchups, and momentum-changing opportunities. If Kirk Cousins shows up in those bright lights, he can forever alter the narrative surrounding his career as an NFL quarterback.
Looking ahead at the schedule a bit, will Kirk Cousins finally get over the hump and win fans over, or will he fold and continue to be a question mark for the franchise that has kept him around?
