#5. Something happens to Kirk Cousins

This is the scariest item on the list in terms of a single-season disaster. With every play the Minnesota Vikings offense runs, there is a chance that quarterback Kirk Cousins will suffer some kind of injury that makes him unable to take the field.

It’s not just injury that is scary. Things can happen off the field that could cause Cousins to miss time and thrust either Sean Mannion or Kellen Mond into the starting lineup to try to put points on the board for Minnesota.

Thankfully, Cousins has been an extremely durable quarterback since arriving in the NFL. Still, the Vikings gambling with their backup position could be something that comes back to haunt them if something does happen to their starting signal-caller.

Hopefully, everyone who reads this either knocked on wood, wished on a shooting star, or threw a coin into a fountain to give as much hope for the upcoming season that Kirk Cousins will be behind center for every meaningful offensive snap this season.
