Inside linebacker might present some problems for the Vikings when they look at rounding out this group on the active roster in a few days. Jordan Hicks is an unquestioned starter, of course. But, next to him could be either 2022 third-round pick Brian Asamoah or this year's undrafted rookie Ivan Pace Jr. out of Cincinnati.

While the Vikings sort through that decision, there should at least be no question that both of those guys make the final roster. However, the next question that remains is whether or not the Vikings carry a fourth inside linebacker. If they do, who will it be?

Most outlets believe 2020 fourth-round pick Troy Dye will stick around as the final man among this group. Dye has spent each year as a pro with the Vikings and has appeared sparingly on defense. Although, he has been commonly used on special teams, where he's played 67 percent of snaps each of the last two seasons.

Behind Dye, there are a few other names including one of Pace's former teammates, Wilson Huber, also of Cincinnati. Unlike Pace, Huber will not be as lucky to make the final squad. He remains pretty far back on the depth chart and, in reference to the nature of this topic at hand, will be a fairly easy name for the Vikings to let go of.
