The Viking Age Needs Some New Writers

We’re opening it up at TVA right now to bring in some new blood and jazz up this site. New takes. New opinions. New angles. That’s what we’re after. Independence and originality. And it doesn’t hurt if you have decent grammar. But this being a fan blog, perfect grammar is not the most important thing. Having a take is the important thing. Ever wanted to get your takes read by thousands of people every day? That’s the kind of traffic we draw here at TVA. Several thousand hits every day even during the slow offseason times. The biggest reason for this? Our link relationship with SI.com. TVA links are featured on SI.com. That’s eyes on posts. Those eyes could be on your posts. If you want to sign up and write for TVA.

What do I require? Not very much. How about one post per week to start? Or how about this if you’re interested? Maybe there’s one day a week – or two, or even three – where you are around your computer a lot. Are you a plugged-in fan? Do you follow all the beat writers on Twitter? Are you one of the first to know every time news breaks? Can you hammer out a 200-word post about that news item, giving a little insight as well? And add a picture? I’m looking for you. I NEED you. I need breaking news bloggers. Bad. If you think you can handle that load a couple days or even just one day a week, fill out the application.
