Teddy Bridgewater is supposed to be a strict pocket passer who can’t scramble around and make circus plays like, for example, Johnny Manziel. Well tell that to Teddy Bridgewater, cause he made that kind of play Thursday night against Cincinnati.

Pocket breaks down, Bridgewater fakes out a couple guys, heaves up an off-balance throw…touchdown to Honey Mustard Copeland. Gotta love these college football nicknames.

One play won’t restore Teddy’s Heisman hopes but who cares about the Heisman. Bridgewater is the #1 pro prospect at quarterback, everyone seems to agree. Teddy will likely be the #1 overall pick in next year’s draft.

Too bad the Vikings probably won’t be picking #1 overall after slightly improving the last couple weeks and upping their season record to 3-8-1. Houston has the #1 pick right now and if it stays that way, I see no reason for them to pass on Bridgewater. Have you seen Matt Schaub and Case Keenum?

The Vikings, if they do want a QB, will have to settle for one of the other guys. Derek Carr. Johnny Manziel. Or go another year platooning Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel in hopes they can lose enough games and draft Marcus Mariota in 2015.

Gosh, where does this tanking ever end?
