Looks like Vikings fans aren’t the only ones that want to see Adrian Peterson in a Super Bowl.

Recently, ESPN did an anonymous survey of over 320 NFL players.  Included on that poll, was a question about which NFL player who has never been to a Super Bowl would you like to see in one.

The results were interesting.  There were several votes for players based on many different criteria:  age, talent, and other factors.  Here are the final percentages of each player who received votes:

Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings): 18.4%

  • Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta Falcons): 17.5%
  • Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions): 8.1%
  • Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks): 4.7%
  • Andre Johnson (Houston Texans): 4.4%
  • Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles): 3.4%
  • ESPN asked Peterson how he felt about the results of this vote.

"“That’s pretty cool,” Peterson said. “It feels good. I guess guys are able to see the passion that I play with, the desire I play with, and they respect it enough to make that type of statement. It says a lot, and it means a lot.”"

Hopefully Peterson, the Vikings, and Vikings fans will all get to see Peterson play in the big game.  Only time will tell.
