Teddy Bridgewater is soft? Teddy Bridgewater is too slight-of-build to hold up in the NFL?

Teddy Bridgewater takes issue with your criticisms.

When asked about the toughness issue by Jon Gruden, Bridgewater declared, “I’m just tough.”

The QB went on, “I’m a different breed. I’m a rare breed. I think, like you said earlier, my kind is becoming extinct. My background has made me the person I am today. It’s made me a mentally and physically tough guy. Nothing bothers me. You can set my hair on fire, I’m still going to go. I’m just one of those guys.”

Maybe the issue for Teddy at his pro day wasn’t his lack of a glove. Maybe it was a lack of his hair being on fire.

Next time, set Teddy’s hair on fire and see how he performs.

Despite Teddy’s efforts to slap aside questions about his build and whether he can take an NFL pounding, those questions are still going to remain.

Scouting reports are not going to be edited to remove references to Teddy’s size. Quotes about his alleged softness, being tossed out there by anonymous NFL executives, are not going to just be scrubbed away.

Some of this feels like sabotage. Some is just legitimate concern being voiced. None of it will matter to the team that loves Teddy and wants to make him their QB.
