The Minnesota Vikings are a patriotic organization as well.  Every game played on or near a patriotic holiday featured a player bringing out the American flag and waiving it proudly.  In the past, that player was usually Jared Allen.  With Jared moving to the windy city, the Minnesota Vikings will have to find a new player to carry the flag.  Here are a few options that the team should consider:

  • Adrian Peterson – This is the obvious choice.  Peterson is the face of the organization and a proud American.  He has a fantastic work ethic and is a great example of working hard to achieve your dream.
  • Harrison Smith – Harrison Smith may only be entering his third NFL season, but he’s already gained recognition as one of the hardest hitting safeties in the NFL.  He’s tough as nails.
  • Teddy Bridgewater – Surprisingly, Bridgewater still has a lot of skeptics and a show of patriotism like this could help convince folks that he has enough charisma and personality to be be a leader on and off the field.
  • Brian Robison – This is the logical choice.  Robison will be the new featured pass rusher.  He loves so many things that America offers, such as fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.  A blue collar personality like his would represent America well.
