#4: University Of Minnesota Transition and Requests

I didn’t consider the Vikings move to the cold weather of the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium to be as big of a problem as some folks think.  It is mostly just a stepping stone until the team gets their new home constructed.  While facing the outdoor elements at home games will definitely be different for a lot of fans, there was something a little more major going on behind the scenes at the University of Minnesota.

The school seems to have a problem with one of the Minnesota Vikings home opponents this year.  The school’s brass announced that they would attempt a ban of the Washington Redskins team name.  This will be somewhat difficult, because all Washington’s jerseys and much of the team’s equipment comes with the “Redskins” name right on them.

While we haven’t heard a lot about this attempted ban recently, with the game against Washington approaching rapidly, we could hear a lot more on this topic very soon.  And something that this team doesn’t need right now is more distractions.
