Fit on the Minnesota Vikings:

With the recent release of guards Brandon Fusco and Mike Harris, there is a huge hole at right guard for the Vikings.

The key 2016 offseason free agent signing was guard Alex Boone, but he proved to be just average last season. This could be attributed to multiple factors, but the Vikings desperately need to find a solution at right guard.

Veteran Joe Berger has been back-and-forth from center to guard, proving that he is the team’s best offensive lineman, but he turns 35-years-old this upcoming May. He also is entering the final year of his contract.

With so few possible plug-and-play guards in this draft class, Feeney is considered to be one of the draft’s safest picks. He would be a day one starter for the Vikings and they would potentially have another hole on the offensive line filled, which was among one of the worst in the NFL last season.
