Vikings 2017 draft prospect spotlight: Western Michigan OT Taylor Moton
By Jordan Reid
Fit on the Minnesota Vikings:
It is no secret that the Vikings need a lot of help along the offensive line. It is the single position that derailed their 2016 season. QB Sam Bradford was constantly pressured and sacked throughout the season.
After Phil Loadholt’s sudden retirement prior to training camp, former 2009 first round selection Andre Smith assumed role at right tackle. After signing his one-year deal, he was a massive disappointment as his season ended quickly due to a triceps injury.

Jeremiah Sirles proved that he’s not ready to be an NFL starter, leaving the right tackle spot wide open for the Vikings. Since the prime years of Loadholt, the team has not had that standout right tackle that they can count on year in and year out. Moton can potentially fill that void if the Vikings select him in April.
