Minnesota’s final draft pick from 2016, Kearse benefited in his rookie season from Antone Exum being lost for the year due to an injury. However, Exum is back this season and Kearse’s standing on the active roster is now in jeopardy.

Exum has been playing well this year, so the battle for Minnesota’s final safety spot seems to be between Kearse and Anthony Harris. Kearse will likely need a very strong performance against the Dolphins to persuade the Vikings to keep him this season.
