The Interesting Stuff

1. Trae Waynes saves his job, for now

Just when it looked like it was going to be another long day for Waynes, the young Vikings corner snatched a Jameis Winston pass out of the air in the second quarter for his first interception of the year. The play may give Waynes the confidence he needs to improve his play as the season continues.

2. Vikings lock arms during national anthem

We reported on here prior to the game that this would happen, but during the playing of the national anthem before today’s game, members of the Vikings organization (including the Wilfs and general manager Rick Spielman) locked arms with each other. It was one of the many displays of on-field activism from around the NFL in Week 3.

3. Minnesota stays undefeated at home

With their win over Buccaneers on Sunday, the Vikings have won both of their games at U.S. Bank Stadium this season. That success at home this year will hopefully continue for Minnesota as they will play three of their next four games in the house that the Wilfs built.

4. Yips gone for Forbath?

After missing two extra-point attempts in the first two weeks of the season, Vikings kicker Kai Forbath was perfect on Sunday. He finished his day by hitting both of his field goal attempts and all four of his extra-point attempts.

Forbath should be able to sleep soundly, at least for another week, after his performance against Tampa Bay.
