Option 1 – The Practice Squad

In most cases for an NFL team, when something happens and a spot opens up a certain position, the squad will look to their practice squad to call up a player to take the last spot on the depth chart.

For Minnesota, the option on the practice squad is Bronson Hill, who put together a solid preseason. However, there are some reasons to second think a decision to elevate the  24-year-old rusher.

Hill has only taken 2 career regular season snaps from his rookie year in Jacksonville, and the team likely hopes they can keep him on the squad for a while to continue developing him and getting him experience.

It would be moderately surprising to see Hill be elevated, but it definitely isn’t out of the question.
