The Good Stuff

  1. Establishing the run. One of the hardest things to do against the Eagles is moving the ball on the ground. The Vikings used a combination of Jerick McKinnon and Latavius Murray to bring the defense up and open things up in the passing game early on.
  2. Getting Kyle Rudolph involved. Rudolph was the recipient of Minnesota establishing their run game. With the Philly defense up near the line, Minnesota floated a pass to Rudolph when he got behind the defense for an easy score.
  3. Few stoppages of play. Aside from a few injuries and reviews, it was a game that flew by. That’s a great thing since it’s a game that most Vikings fans will want to try to forget about as soon as possible.
  4.  Kai Forbath didn’t miss. A silver lining during the game is that kicking wasn’t the issue that cost Minnesota the game. Forbath only attempted one extra point during the game, but knocked that puppy through the uprights!
  5. I got to 4 positives. That’s right, I’m using #5 to be proud of myself for coming up with four positives from this game. I’m surprised I was able to do that, but I welcome other positives in the comments below.
