Horace Richardson
Definitely a very dark horse candidate for the role next season. But with an impressive camp and preseason this year, Richardson has a small chance to emerge as the Vikings’ nickel corner for 2018.
Signed an undrafted free-agent out of SMU last year, he spent 2017 on Minnesota’s practice squad. Then this past January, the Vikings signed Richardson to a reserve/future contract.
During his career at SMU, he spent most of his time covering on the outside. But in the preseason last year with Minnesota, Richardson made the transition to the slot.
Next: Who will be the Vikings' most improved player in 2018?
He’s certainly not the first name that most think of as a candidate for the Vikings’ nickel corner spot in 2018. However, Richardson is definitely a player to keep an eye on this summer in Minnesota.
