Adam Thielen is the newest member of the Minnesota Vikings to have an organization to give back, launching the Thielen Foundation with youth football camps.

The Minnesota Vikings are known for giving back to the community. Whether it is the team’s foundation, player organizations, or even the head coach getting into giving back to the community, the franchise is always looking to give back to those in need of help.

The most recent member of the franchise to announce an organization is Vikings wide receiver has not only announced the Thielen Foundation but has already hosted the first event from the foundation.

Along with his wife Caitlin, Adam Thielen established the Thielen Foundation “to help serve, educate and inspire people to achieve their full potential” according to the official website of the foundation.

The foundation acted quickly, already hosting its first event on Sunday, June 24, 2018, where the inaugural Youth Football Camp was held at the TCO Performance Center in Eagan, Minnesota.

250 kids ranging in ages from 6-16 attended the camp according to the KVRR website. While there, Thielen worked with the kids in both one-on-one situations and a group setting to not only hone football skills but in hopes of inspiring success in the future.

Thielen spoke about his football camp and what he hoped the youngsters at the event would take away from working on the field.

"“The biggest thing that I want to relay to them is that, no matter what you are doing take advantage of that opportunity. Whether it is in school work, on the football field, basketball court, anything, or on the playground, just try to get better at something that you are doing every single day.”"

Since Adam Thielen is already one of the most active members of the Vikings in terms of meeting the public, establishing a foundation just makes sense. For someone so personable and passionate about helping others and getting to know those who appreciate what he does, the receiver and his wife can now help by organizing their own events under the foundation banner.
