Round 7: Oshane Ximines, Edge rusher – Old Dominion

Right now, Ximines is projected to be selected near the end of the 2019 NFL Draft, but there should be absolutely no way he falls this far. By the end of his scouting, pro days, and combine, he could be one of the top pass-rushing prospects in the draft class.

Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 247 pounds Ximines has improved statistically each of his years at the school. Now, as a redshirt senior, he is racking up sacks and tackles for a loss using his excellent hands and athleticism.

In his last three years at Old Dominion, he has racked up 24 sacks, 38 tackles for a loss, 128 total tackles, nine forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. With that production and a display of his athleticism, he will shoot up the charts in absolutely no time at all.

The only reason he’s included here is that he is currently the 229th best prospect from Drafttek and would definitely be a great steal at this point. Still, watch for him to skyrocket up the charts in upcoming weeks and likely be as early as the second round selection when the draft actually comes along.

Other options for seventh-round selections:

  • Tre Lamar, linebacker – Clemson
  • Anthony Nelson, edge rusher – Iowa
