4. Darius Philon

The theme of this list must be pretty apparent by now. Young, run-stopping defensive tackles are available in this draft and the only questions are how the individuals will fit with the team and who they can afford to bring in.

Darius Philon should be another player high on the list. At 25 years old, the six-foot-one, 300-pound run stopper is finishing up his rookie deal with the Chargers where he started 13 games during the 2018 NFL season.

A sixth-round pick in 2015, Philon has been proving himself ever since he was drafted. While he’s not a sack machine with 9.5 total in his four-year career, his four in 2018 to go with 33 tackles should have turned a few heads.

If Minnesota is looking for a player to develop over time who is young and talented, Philon would be a great option. They could still draft a player in the first few rounds to compete with him, but odds are that he would win that battle.
