Miles Boykin is a big dude, which will catch the eye of many NFL scouts. He really only has one year of real action, but what he did show is reason enough to get excited.
Not only does he have the obvious big body, but he has underrated athleticism and some good hands. If he can manage to start using his body in ways to take advantage of opposing cornerbacks, the sky could be the limit for him.
Boykin could be a reliable chain mover for the Vikings, again adding a much needed big body to the mix of the team’s current receiving depth chart. Playing with guys like Diggs and Thielen could help bring Boykin’s game to a new level that could make him one of the bigger steals of this year’s draft.
One of the bigger questions about Boykin though is if teams will transition him to tight end, which also just so happens to be a need for Minnesota leading up to the 2019 season. There are plenty of reasons for the Vikings to have interest in the former Notre Dame receiver.
