While the offensive line got most of the attention as the reason the Vikings’ season went in the tank, another reason was the lack of a third receiving option. Outside of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, the Vikings missed Jarius Wright and former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell couldn’t get out of his own way to keep opposing defenses from double teaming on the outside.

The Vikings might choose to address this earlier, but if Isabella falls to the fourth round (or to the back end of the third with a trade-up), they could pull the trigger. While his frame might be a little small for an NFL receiver, his 4.31 40-yard dash could be a game-changer for a team that relied on Aldrick Robinson a little too much last year. The 22-year-old can also play on the outside, which could free up Diggs and Thielen to move around the formation.

Perhaps more impressive is that Isabella posted a 52.2 percent dominator rating (in the 97th percentile of draft-eligible receivers per Player Profiler) at UMass and even shined against big school competition, racking up 15 catches, 219 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia last November. If he becomes a reliable target for the Minnesota Vikings, the offense should become that much better in 2019.
