Anthony Harris – S

Anthony Harris broke out a season ago. By about Week 9, he was in the starting lineup and he really held his own opposite Harrison Smith in Minnesota’s defensive backfield.

Harris was especially strong in pass coverage and it got to the point where teams just flat out quit throwing the ball his way.

Harris had a pretty quiet preseason as his name wasn’t called much when he was out there and he kind of was almost a forgotten piece of the Vikings secondary. Boy did he make his name known in Week 1 though.

Harris continued where he left off in 2018 last week. He was all over the place last Sunday on his way to a five tackle, two-interception performance that earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. It was a well-deserved award for a guy who has taken the hard road to get where he is today.

The big question heading into Week 2 is can Harris do it again? While Green Bay’s offense isn’t what it was a few seasons ago, the team still has No. 12 back there slinging the ball. The Packers also have weapons in Davante Adams and the aging but still productive Jimmy Graham.

Harris will certainly have his hands full. If the Vikings are going to win this game, Harris will need to have another big game. A key interception on his part could be what Minnesota needs to seal a win in Lambeau this weekend.
